Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Deliver exceptional patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown within a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will ensure high standards of care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
Key Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or intermediate care unit Proficient assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment abilities Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced setting Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess patients recovering from critical illnesses or surgery Implement and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with physician orders Deliver medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed Perform frequent vital sign monitoring and recognize early signs of deterioration Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and their families about care transitions and discharge planning Adhere to established policies, procedures, and safety standards This contract role provides valuable experience for nurses seeking a focused Stepdown assignment, with opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive clinical environment.
