Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and other critical conditions in a fast-paced hospital environment. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work night shifts, with a 48-hour weekly schedule, in a facility committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in telemetry monitoring, patient assessment, and emergency response, ensuring the highest standards of care across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac abnormalities promptly. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following strict aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Respond swiftly to emergency situations, utilizing critical care skills such as airway management and acute pain management. Assist with procedures like catheterizations, suturing, and specimen collection as needed. Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and post-discharge care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Requirements Valid RN license in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Minimum of one year of recent ICU or telemetry experience within a hospital setting. Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner. Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, IV infusion therapy, and aseptic technique. Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities or requiring memory care. Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment. Familiarity with ICD coding, laboratory procedures, and diagnostic evaluation processes is advantageous.
