Full-Time Position Summary Pineville Community Health Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Emergency Department Director (RN) to provide operational, clinical, and leadership oversight of our Emergency Department. The Director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance, staff engagement, departmental performance, and fiscal responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with demonstrated experience in emergency nursing, staff development, quality improvement, and healthcare operations. Essential Responsibilities Direct and oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards. Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and support staff to promote a culture of excellence and accountability. Manage staffing plans, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations. Monitor patient care outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, and other departments to improve patient flow and patient satisfaction. Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources. Analyze department metrics including patient volumes, wait times, throughput, quality indicators, and employee engagement. Participate in strategic planning and organizational leadership initiatives. Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications Required:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum five (5) years of Emergency Department nursing experience. Minimum three (3) years of progressive leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Strong knowledge of emergency care standards, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement principles. Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
