Job Description

Our Compassionate Care Center nurses take pride in our award-winning, 7 bed, freestanding hospice inpatient facility. Our nurses work with a supportive nursing team, director, medical team, and interdisciplinary colleagues. Together, they provide compassionate, expert care for hospice patients who need inpatient or respite support. The average daily census is approximately 5 patients. Most shifts include two nurses and , depending on census and acuity. Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN)

  • 7:00 AM Flexible Scheduling Weekend availability preferred Position Summary The Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate, patient-centered care at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
This position is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care, implementing and monitoring individualized plans of care, and supporting patients and families through education and guidance related to end-of-life care needs. The RN collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes nurse aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers to address the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and their families while ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of care.
Position Qualifications:
Current license by the state of Kentucky as a registered nurse Nursing experience of one year required, with two years preferred CPR certification Experience in pain and symptom control management preferred Experience caring for terminally ill patients preferred Ability to function as a team member and to communicate effectively with individuals and groups Excellent interpersonal skills to establish a supportive, therapeutic alliance with the patient and family, physician, community, and members of the interdisciplinary team Current Kentucky driver's license All employees must have the ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds using proper body mechanics and safety measures. Individual job responsibilities may require lifting more than 40 pounds on occasion. Employees are regularly required to see, talk, and hear; frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands; and to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Compassionate Home Care :
compassionate care provided in the home, nursing home, or assisted living facility
Compassionate Care Center:
inpatient compassionate care at our freestanding facility
Bereavement Outreach:
grief support for families as they receive compassionate care and for one year after hospice services are completed
Pay:
$37.00 per hour
