1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist requiring an unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT registration, and KBMIRT licensure for a Louisville-area hospital assignment. Details Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab department of a hospital setting Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly Operates radiographic equipment during invasive cardiac and EP procedures under physician direction Performs scrub assist role during cath and EP procedures Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required Unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license in the state required Registered with ARRT and licensed through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) BLS and ACLS certifications required Associate's degree in Radiology Technology required No prior experience required Additional Information Obtains patient medical history and physical assessments prior to procedures Performs time-out procedures ensuring proper consent and documentation are in place Maintains sterile technique while assisting physicians during procedures Documents patient progress, interventions, and charges within the EMR Identifies and documents basic arrhythmias and respiratory dysfunction Demonstrates proficiency with pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring, and automatic blood pressure equipment Calculates cardiac output, valve area, and shunt measurements as needed
