1 Description American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and no prior experience necessary. Details Work in a hospital Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) providing intermediate care for cardiac surgery patients from pre-op through discharge Care for pre/post-cardiac intervention patients including PTCA, cardioversion, generator implants, and TAVR Additional beds support monitoring of patients with atypical chest pain Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week Weekend and holiday coverage required per unit needs Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required Current BLS and ACLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and discharge planning Coordinate discharge process with Case Management and other team members Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits Promote a positive, healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
