Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse. Job Duties:

Performs professional nurse duties that may include administration of blood and blood components, I.V. medications, parenteral nutrition, central line therapy, etc., under the close supervision of a registered nurse of a higher level Administers medications and treatments in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Assists in development of nursing plan of care patients in assigned units.

PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE

Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted. An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted. This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

Compensation:

This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) at each level. However, the salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Registered Nurse 1 has an SER of $ 29.84 per hour Registered Nurse 2 has an SER of $ 31.93 per hour Registered Nurse 3 has an SER of $ 34.17 per hour 'Premium Pay' paid in addition to regular pay for qualifying conditions: Retention

There is Premium Pay at a rate of $5.00 per hour for each hour worked, in addition to regular pay.
