Performs utilization review functions of assigned cases. Compare inpatient medical records to established criteria and requests interdisciplinary feedback to determine appropriateness of treatment and level of care using pre-established criteria for intensity of service. Performs initial assessment for inpatient including: patient/family interviews to obtain full clinical/social knowledge of patient and identifies discharge planning needs. Participate in discharge planning and in-service programs related to the needs of the patient Great time management skills

Qualifications :

Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license Bachelor's degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred 3 years of acute care clinical nursing experience preferred Minimum of 1 year Case Management experience Previous Inpatient Rehabilitation or Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred Good oral and written communication skills
