Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Travel ICU RN for a contract assignment in Natchez, MS. In this role, you will deliver high-acuity bedside care to critically ill adults, managing complex drips, ventilators, and rapid changes in condition. You'll collaborate with an expert interdisciplinary team, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold strict safety and infection-control standards. Responsibilities Provide direct ICU nursing care to critically ill adult patients following hospital protocols and physician orders Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient condition, vital signs, and response to treatments Administer IV medications, drips, blood products, and manage ventilators and advanced life-support equipment Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans Educate and support patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and ICU environment Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and ensure compliance with ICU and hospital policies Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to promote optimal patient outcomes Float as needed within ICU or critical care units to meet census and acuity needs Participate in handoff reports, rapid response situations, and codes as required by unit protocols Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a travel assignment Required Skills ICU nursing Critical care assessment Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Titration of vasoactive drips ACLS protocols Electronic medical records (EMR) Infection control Rapid response and code management Patient and family education
