Job Description

Step into an essential role supporting the health and well-being of students as a contracted RN in a vibrant school setting. This full-time opportunity runs ASAP through May 22, 2026, with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, following the school calendar (35 hours per week, 7-hour days, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Youll have the chance to make a meaningful difference by caring for students at one or two schools, serving where the need is greatest and where your expertise is most valued.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license (BSN preferred; ASN accepted) Prior school nurse experience is required Competence with trachs, g-tubes, diabetic care, IEP processes, and health screenings Strong skills in record keeping and documentation Confident in training and delegating to non-medical staff Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets Excellent communication skills and a true passion for supporting children and adolescents Successful completion of district-required drug screening and fingerprints prior to start
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing services and emergency care according to IEPs and school protocols Monitor and manage health conditions for students, including those requiring specialized care (e.g., trachs, g-tubes, diabetes management) Maintain thorough student health records and documentation Partner with parents, teachers, and staff to ensure students well-being Conduct health screenings and contribute to the development of health plans Educate and train school staff on medical procedures as needed The compensation for this role offers a range from $28-$40 per hour, determined by your experience in school nursing.
