Advantage Medical Professionals is seeking a Nursery/NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a quick-start, 8-week travel contract in Opelousas, Louisiana . This is primarily a newborn nursery position at a Level I facility , with minimal onboarding required.

Three 12-hour shifts per week

7:00 PM-7:00

AM Guaranteed Hours:

36 hours per week

Unit:

Newborn Nursery/NICU Compensation Taxable Rate:

$21 per hour

Weekly Taxable Wages:

$756

Weekly Non-Taxed Stipends:

Up to $1,246 for eligible travelers

$2,002 Stipend eligibility is based on applicable tax-home requirements. Position Responsibilities Attend all deliveries Assign APGAR scores Complete newborn admission procedures and documentation Provide attentive, compassionate care to newborn infants Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team Follow facility policies and newborn safety standards The facility averages no more than approximately 35 births per week , providing a supportive environment focused on high-quality newborn care.
