36 Hours per Week (3 Nights per Week) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to support a busy Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting and demonstrate strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills. This role requires the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Experience Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Emergency Room experience preferred Required Certifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification Preferred Certifications Specialty certification in Emergency Nursing or a related clinical specialty Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process. Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Educate patients and family members regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate care. Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency environment. Utilize clinical data and evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. Delegate responsibilities appropriately and support nursing team effectiveness. Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Promote patient safety, quality care, and customer satisfaction. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency with electronic medical records and web-based healthcare applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.
