Job Description
SUMMARY:
Provides support to the Health Services Director, Assisted Living & Home Care Director and Primary Care Physician by ensuring the highest standard of health and wellness needs of residents are addressed and met utilizing person-centered care. Provides residents with excellent care through consistent use of clinical judgement and decision making skills and thorough communication with medical providers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Practices within scope of nursing license following facility policies and procedures as well as in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. Utilizes excellent critical thinking and decision making skills along with critical reasoning in all circumstances while treating each resident as an individual and using person centered care. Monitors and maintains necessary health information of residents while maintaining up-to-date medical records. Acts as a health and wellness resource for residents by providing nursing assessment, advice, consultation and related education and coaching while maintaining privacy and dignity for residents. Maintains open lines of communication and close relationships with residents, family members, vendors, as well as external and internal medical professionals to facilitate highest quality of health care. Demonstrates an awareness of, a respect for and attention to the diversity of the people with whom they interact (persons served, personnel, families/caregivers, and other stakeholders) that is reflected in attitudes, behavior and services. Performs job functions in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of The Loomis Communities. Adheres to The Loomis Communities Compliance and Ethics Program.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
Current Massachusetts Nursing License Preferred Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursingPreferred Experience:
2 years Physicians office or Ambulatory Care Center or Adult Medicine Practice. Licenses(Required/Preferred) Current Massachusetts Nursing License CPR certificationSkills/Competencies:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various, complex situations. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to relate well to all residents, including the emotionally upset, those with impaired communication ability and those dealing with emergency situations. Ability to utilize excellent critical thinking and decision making skills. Ability to deal respectfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the public.Similar remote jobs
