Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-CVICU Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic clinical environment as an RN specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU). This contract opportunity offers vital hands-on experience working with critically ill cardiac and vascular patients. Your nursing expertise will help provide exceptional care and support to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule/Hours:
36 hours per week Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every other weekend required Rotating holidays Flexibility to float between CVICU and ICU units
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license required Minimum one year of recent CVICU experience Demonstrated proficiency in caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions BLS and ACLS certification required Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a highly technical, team-based environment Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing interventions to CVICU and ICU patients, monitoring vital signs and responding to rapidly changing conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to devise and implement individualized care plans Administer cardiac medications and manage advanced life support equipment Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-acute care needs Ensure documentation meets healthcare and regulatory standards
