A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Job Description
Registered Dietitian Qualifications:
Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) registration through the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university. 2 years Clinical Nutrition experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge of current best practices in medical nutrition therapy. Strong knowledge of State and Federal regulatory guidelines, MDS and standards impacting Clinical Nutrition department in Long-Term Care. Excellent client services, organization and communication skills are essential.Registered Dietitian Job Summary:
Plan, organize, develop, and direct the nutritional care of residents in accordance with policy and regulations. Assess/Monitor the residents' nutritional status and provides recommendations to clinical/medical staff. Educate residents, families and staff on nutritional concepts and diet modification. Work with other members of the team to ensure that modified texture or therapeutic diets are in compliance with the resident's medical condition. Practice management by rounding. Participate in care conferences and the communication of nutritional updates to residents and representatives as needed. Complete resident nutritional assessments.
