1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with an active MA RN license, at least three years of telemetry experience, and prior travel nursing experience. Details Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting Patient population includes Surgical, Ortho, SBO, Urology/CBI, and Diverticulitis cases Evening shift, 4x8-hour shifts from 14:45 to 23:15 Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) required May float to other Med Surg/Tele units as needed Utilizes Epic charting system Union facility requiring availability to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations Requirements Active MA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required Minimum 3 years of telemetry nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, and CBI Experience with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal management preferred Skilled in wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, and surgical drain management Experience with oxygen administration, telemetry monitoring, and rapid response/code team involvement Total joint replacement post-op care experience Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered Additional Information Must pass a Pass/Fail Telemetry exam during orientation with a minimum score of 80% and only one attempt allowed; failure to pass will result in cancellation from the assignment Must also pass a Pass/Fail Medication exam during orientation Completion of pre-start and orientation modules required, along with annual module renewal Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, though no time off is permitted during the first week of the assignment Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate Previous employees must have a 12-month separation from the health system before returning
