Job Description

Registered Nurse- RN Exciting opportunity to join our team at our family medicine practice in North Adams! Berkshire Family Practice Associates is seeking a reliable, experienced Registered Nurse to perform various office and clinical duties to help our practice run efficiently. This position is a unique opportunity for the RN to work to the highest level of their licensure in a "nurse-lead care" setting. Our RN will work directly with providers to triage patient calls, coordinate controlled-substance prescription refills and off-site services, work with community services to ensure swift, meaningful care is delivered to our patients. The RN will also perform various lab tests and clinical duties for patient appointments scheduled with the nursing staff. This position is full-time (40 hours), working five days per week. Our office is open Monday through Friday. No nights, no weekends, no major holidays. Benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings with employer contribution, 9 paid holidays per year, and earned time.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Updating and maintaining patient records through our electronic health record
  • Triaging both pediatric and adult medical calls and walk-ins in a knowledgeable, professional manner
  • Coordinating with Provider and office team to ensure seamless patient care in regards to triage, appointment scheduling, result delivery, and patient education
  • Collecting and processing lab specimens and performing other clinical visit tasks as assigned
Updating Flow Sheets, Monitoring PT/INR, Pre-visit Planning Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experienced Massachusetts Registered Nurse in good standing
  • Strong clinical, triage, prioritization, and decision making skills
  • Experience working with an electronic health record
  • High level of professionalism, autonomy, and dependability
  • Strong customer service and patient education skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
