1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care position requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC or Rehab setting experience. Details Long Term Care (LTC) setting within the Physical Therapy unit Caseload typically includes 7-12 patients per day depending on case mix Treatment times average approximately 1 hour for Medicare B and 30-35 minutes for Medicare A and Managed Care patients 8-hour day shifts No weekend or on-call requirements Requirements Active PTA license required if applicable Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required Experience in a LTC or SNF setting required 1 professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist Administer treatment techniques including manual therapy, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices Assess and communicate patient progress with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed Document all treatment information accurately in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings as required Assist supervising Physical Therapist with DME and supply needs as necessary May supervise and support PTA students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics No more than 7 days of requested RTO permitted during the assignmentBenefits
