MDS Coordinator at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, an award-winning facility! As the MDS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care. $42 to $50 an hour, depending on experience and license. Can be an LPN or RN.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the MDS process, including overseeing resident care plans and completing MDS reports Oversee ADL training for facility staff Issue and deliver denial notices and Medicare denial letters in a timely and appropriate manner Complete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS) accurately and efficiently Maintain knowledge of and comply with current CMS regulatory guidelines Ensure the confidentiality of resident health information and maintain adequate systems to support billed services

Requirements:

Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university Must possess an active and unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in Massachusetts Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with various stakeholders Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations that pertain to long-term care
