Nights Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Team at BMC in Springfield, Massachusetts . Our 28 bed Adult Psychiatric Treatment Unit (APTU) offers inpatient treatment for patients ages 18 and older with psychiatric disorders in a safe, secure setting, with working within a multidisciplinary team with advanced treatment modalities, act as an advocate for patients, families and significant others. The Registered Nurse role offers involvement in teamwork, problem-solving, and accountability, with the goals of improved staff satisfaction, productivity, and patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse Will:
Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to adult patients experiencing psychiatric disorders in a secure 28-bed inpatient treatment unit. Assess patients' physical and mental health needs, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and monitor treatment progress. Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Advocate for patients, families, and significant others by promoting dignity, safety, informed decision-making, and continuity of care. Utilize advanced psychiatric treatment modalities and therapeutic nursing interventions to support patient stabilization and recovery. Participate in teamwork, problem-solving, and shared accountability initiatives to improve staff satisfaction, productivity, safety, and patient outcomes. Contribute professional expertise and clinical insight through participation in committees, councils, and task forces while maintaining nursing autonomy and accountability.
