Up to $2,000 with minimum 10 months of inpatient experience Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts . Our Team provides care for a 42-bed Medical Step-Down Unit, including 21 beds equipped with bedside hemodynamic monitoring capabilities and 24-hour monitoring of these systems while working closely with Key teams and providers to deliver quality care. The Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to medically complex patients while developing advanced clinical skills in a dynamic Medical Step-Down Unit. Nurses collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team and utilize continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring to recognize changes in patient condition, intervene promptly, and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
The Registered Nurse Will:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in a 42-bed Medical Step-Down Unit, caring for patients with complex medical needs. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes in clinical condition. Monitor patients continuously using cardiac, vital-sign, and bedside hemodynamic monitoring systems. Provide 24-hour surveillance of hemodynamic monitoring equipment and recognize abnormal readings or trends. Respond promptly to changes in patient status and initiate appropriate nursing interventions within scope of practice. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and deliver individualized patient care. Educate patients and families, promote safe transitions of care, and support positive patient outcomes and recovery.
