Responsibilities Include:
Assist in the management of the school-based Medication Administration Program, consistent with the regulations governing the administration of prescription medications in public and private schools. Assist in the development and facilitation of health education classes for students. Maintain student health records. Oversee and perform all state-mandated programs such as immunization surveillance and screenings (vision and hearing). Triage of injury, illness, or accident and provide appropriate intervention. Participate with staff in developing and implementing school health curriculum programs.
Requirements:
Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing. A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing settings.
