Hours Shift:
Nights, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM Make an Impact with Baystate Health Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, Massachusetts . The Wing Emergency Department offers nurses the opportunity to practice in a modern, community-based emergency setting with the resources and support of the larger Baystate Health system. The department features 20 beds, including two critical care bays , with the majority of patients cared for in private rooms. The ED is also equipped with advanced technology, including an in-department CT scanner and radiology unit .
The Registered Nurse Will:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Emergency Department patients. Provide timely care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions. Care for patients across varying levels of acuity, including those requiring critical care intervention and stabilization. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established standards of care. Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to evolving clinical needs. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation while supporting a safe, compassionate, patient-centered environment.
