Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Nurse to join our team to pilot a program that offers ovarian and breast cancer screening. This role involves phlebotomy and IV placement services for our patients undergoing breast and ovarian cancer screening. For now, we are looking for a Nurse to join us one day a week (day to be decided between us) with the hope for expansion to a part-time or full-time job. This person can help develop the position to include navigation services for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise in IV line placement, and a compassionate approach to supporting patients' health and well-being. This position is perfect for nurses eager to develop their IV placement and phlebotomy skills while developing a new role in a reputable breast imaging practice. Duties Perform patient assessments, including medical history Place IV lines for contrast administration during breast imaging exams Place IV lines for blood draws for ovarian cancer screening Manage blood sample from centrifuge to packaging for shipment to facility for analysis Help transfer imaging and reports to other sites for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients Help develop the role to determine a more formal and full-time position Manage acute pain and provide critical care support in settings such as ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms. Coordinate patient care plans, discharge planning, and case management for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Skills Experience with IV line placement for infusion and phlebotomy Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic evaluation, and medical terminology. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs monitoring, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and venipuncture. Excellent communication skills

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
