Registered Nurse

The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the AORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Care:

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and screenings
• Provide comprehensive patient education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care

Post-Operative Care:

• Provide immediate post-operative care and monitoring in PACU or recovery areas
• Educate patients and families on post-op recovery protocols and self-care
• Address any patient concerns or complications promptly
• MA RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
• Ability to circulate and scrub preferred
• Completion of a Peri-Operative Nursing Program preferred
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
