Baltimore, MD Responsibilities:
Draft, negotiate, and execute a high volume of Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), SaaS agreements, Order Forms, and other supplier purchase agreements. Own contracts from intake through execution, amendment, and completion, ensuring timely turnaround and policy compliance. Apply existing procurement policies, templates, and contracting guidance to structure agreements appropriately. Partner with Category Managers, Legal, and suppliers to resolve issues and finalize agreements efficiently. Support contract amendments, renewals, and modifications, assessing impacts and implementing updates. Manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Skills:
Managing multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Commercial negotiation within established risk and approval frameworks. Critical thinking and judgment with minimal supervision. Strong follow-through to drive contracts to completion quickly. Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal partners. Experience working in a contract or vendor management system.Required Qualifications:
5 years of practical experience drafting and negotiating SOWs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, and supplier agreements. Strong critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently and make sound contract decisions. Proven ability to manage work quickly and follow contracts through to completion. Comfortable working with established policies, guides, and standard templates. Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Experience:
Prior experience supporting procurement or category management teams. Familiarity with technology and professional services contracting. Experience working in a vendor or contract management system. (Oracle, PeopleSoft)Required Skills:
Contracting & Negotiation Drafting and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs) Drafting and negotiating Master Services Agreements (MSAs) Drafting and negotiating SaaS agreements and order forms Drafting supplier purchase and services agreements Negotiating standard and moderately non-standard commercial terms Managing contract amendments, renewals, and extensions Execution & Delivery End-to-end contract ownership (intake through execution) Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously Strong follow-through to ensure timely completion Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy Meeting aggressive turnaround timelines Critical Thinking & Judgment Identifying contractual risks and gaps Applying policy and templates to real-world scenarios Making sound contract decisions with limited direction Escalating issues appropriately when needed Policy & Process Application Applying established procurement policies and contracting guidelines Using standard templates and playbooks effectively Working within defined approval and governance frameworks Maintaining documentation and contract records accurately Collaboration & Communication Working effectively with category managers and internal stakeholders Communicating clearly with suppliers during negotiations Explaining contract terms and requirements in plain language Managing contract discussions professionally and efficiently Systems & Organization Experience working in contract lifecycle or vendor management systems Strong attention to detail Organized contract tracking and status management Work Style Self-starter with minimal supervision Adaptable and able to ramp up quickly Results-oriented and completion-focused Will come into the Washington D.C. office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and WFH Monday and Friday.
