Job Description

Sinai Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our Oncology Team. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver patient-centered nursing care using critical thinking, clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and established clinical protocols. Why join Sinai Hospital? Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered nursing care using critical thinking, clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, and established clinical protocols. Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including physical, emotional, and pain-related needs, while prioritizing individualized care. Identify and address patient and family educational needs to support informed decision-making and successful transitions of care. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while promoting patient comfort, quality care, and positive healthcare experiences. Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care independently and in collaboration with healthcare team members. Demonstrate strong problem-solving, professional behavior, customer service, and leadership skills while participating in peer review and team meetings. Delegate appropriate patient care tasks, perform hourly rounding, and ensure timely follow-up to support quality outcomes and patient safety. Engage in quality improvement initiatives, remain current on nursing research and evidence-based practices, and support Nurse Sensitive Indicator (NSI) goals. Administer non-chemotherapy infusions, blood products, hydration, and medications; perform phlebotomy, port access, and peripheral IV placement under physician supervision. Qualifications Current Maryland RN license or eligibility required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
