Travel The Perfusionist assists the medical team in assessing, planning and implementing the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance and other cardiac surgical procedures before, during and/or after surgery. The Perfusionist primary responsibility is to operate the heart/lung machine to support the patient during surgery.
