Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Contract Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Interventional Radiology to support a dynamic healthcare team in California, MD. This contract role is perfect for someone prepared to step into a vital position, replacing the current Interventional Radiology RN who will be departing mid-August. You'll play a critical part in delivering patient care through a range of vascular interventional procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN license with experience in Interventional Radiology Proficiency in vascular procedures, including PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies Strong knowledge of sterile technique and patient monitoring during procedures Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills Ability to collaborate closely with physicians, radiology technologists, and procedural teams Adaptability to fast-paced procedural environments
Schedule:
Full-time hours Position available to start in mid-
August Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct and specialized nursing care for patients undergoing vascular interventional radiology procedures (no neuro, stroke, or cardiac procedures involved) Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures Administer medications, sedation, and support physicians with interventions Maintain accurate records and uphold safety protocols for patients and staff Participate in patient education and pre/post-procedure instructions
