Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting secondary students as a school nurse in a dynamic educational setting near Centreville, MD. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering predictable hours to balance work and life. You'll primarily work with two secondary students, with schedules varying depending on student attendance throughout the week. Flexibility is key, as you may split your role between two high school campuses. Further caseload details, including transportation or potential bus riding needs, will be clarified upon assignment.
Ideal Qualifications:
Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license Demonstrated experience with g-tube and trach ventilator care Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Previous experience in critical care nursing preferred School-based RN background is a plus, though not required
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized nursing care to students, including g-tube and trach support Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and family members to ensure student safety and well-being Adapt quickly to varying school settings and caseload changes Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with school policies and state requirements Provide emergency care and intervene in acute situations as needed
