Job Description

Nurse Practitioner - Full-time - Radiation Oncology Job RequirementsUnder limited supervision, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced, comprehensive healthcare services to a designated patient population in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team. The NP is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care across the continuum, utilizing evidence-based practices and established clinical protocols. This role includes developing and implementing treatment plans, promoting health education, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
  • Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Provide patient and family education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans
  • Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Ad to established nursing and medical standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff and other support personnel as appropriateWork Experience1.
Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.2. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.3. Current state licensure as a ed Nurse required.4. Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.5. Prior clinical experience preferred, but not required6. DEA and CDS eligible.
