Job Description

Registered Nurse Job Type:
Full Time (32 hours/4 day week)
Salary:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Partners in Abortion Care is an all-trimester abortion clinic located in College Park, Maryland. We seek to create a work environment where both our staff and the people we serve thrive. Purpose:
Partners in Abortion Care is seeking a full time registered nurse who understands the complicated intersections of a patient's life and experiences that may lead to having an abortion. The ideal candidate for this position is compassionate, pro-choice, patient, and excited to be part of a new, rapidly growing, and fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will come with prior experience in at least one of the following areas: labor and delivery, outpatient OB/gyn, abortion care, procedural sedation administration. Multilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Planned start date for this position is no later than Jul 21, 2026. The anticipated schedule of this position is primarily Tuesday to Friday with occasional schedule alterations to include Mondays or Saturdays. Applicants must be available for at least one week of overnight on-call availability per month. At this time, Partners in Abortion Care offers the following benefits: 12 weeks of paid parental leave, PTO, sick leave, health insurance benefits, MetroBenefits, 401k with company matching. Please note that time-off and leave benefits are prorated based on hours worked. This position is part of the
SEIU 1199
bargaining unit. The selected candidate will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective bargaining agreement between Partners in Abortion Care LLC and
SEIU 1199.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Assessment of patients before, during, and after abortion procedures Dispensing medications, PO, IV, IM, sublingual Familiarity with EHR systems Obtaining complete medical health history from all patients Providing IV sedation under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer Setting up and breaking down procedures rooms as needed Delegation of responsibilities to other health care professionals, i.e., medical assistants Follow-up contact with patients after their procedure Obtaining vital signs Blood draws and IV line placement Assisting clinicians in the care of patients Quality assurance and improvement projects as assigned Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Active registered nurse license in Maryland or active compact license Minimum 2 years experience as a registered nurse required
BLS & ACLS
required (ACLS may be acquired after start date) Previous outpatient OB/GYN experience preferred Second language proficiency, preferred Experience working directly with midwives/advanced practice nurses preferred Experience with trauma-informed care preferred Experience with IV procedural sedation preferred
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
