ed Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP
Job Titleed Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab / EPLocationEaston, MDSchedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00-17:30) with one scheduled late shift per week (10:00-20:30) | On-Call RequiredKey Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker implantation, Loop monitor placement, TEE, and Cardioversions
Manage and monitor patients presenting with diagnoses including Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFIB, and Bradycardia across an average daily census of 7-14 cases
Operate and assist with specialized equipment including Balloon Pump and IVUS within a 2-room Cath Lab environment
Fulfill scheduled on-call shifts Monday-Friday (17:30-07:00) and 24-hour on-call coverage on weekends and holidays, approximately 10-13 call shifts per month; must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes when on call
Float to pre-op and PACU within the unit and specialty as needed
Work weekends and holidays as required based on departmental needs and on-call scheduling
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
Current ACLS certification (AHA only)
CPI certification required (on-site completion during orientation is acceptable; if obtained online, only the Calm Every Storm version is accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
First-time travelers with a verified 3-year Cardiac Cath Lab background will be considered
