Details
  • Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 2 cath lab rooms
  • Patient population includes Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib, and Bradycardia
  • Average daily census of 7-14 cases
  • Procedures performed include Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), pacemaker implantation, loop monitors, TEE, and cardioversions
  • Equipment used includes Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and IVUS
  • Shift schedule is 4x10 days (07:00-17:30) with 1 scheduled late shift per week (10:00-20:30) to accommodate cases that run over
  • On-call shifts run Monday-Friday from 17:30-07:00, and 07:00-07:00 (24-hour) on weekends and holidays, with approximately 10-13 call shifts per month
  • Weekend work required based on department needs and on-call schedule
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Floating to pre-op/PACU within the unit/specialty as needed Requirements
  • Active RN license in MD (or Compact RN license) currently in hand
  • Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
  • CPI certification required (can be obtained on-site during orientation)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience required
  • Must be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when scheduled for an on-call shift Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply provided they have a proven 3-year cardiac cath lab background
  • Royal blue scrubs required
  • Local candidates are accepted at a reduced local travel rate
