Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Infusion Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care through specialized infusion therapies. In this vital role, you will administer IV medications, including antibiotics, and biologics, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery. Your skills in patient assessment, aseptic technique, and medical documentation will support optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and injections accurately following established protocols and physician orders Monitor patient responses during and after infusion treatments, adjusting care as needed to ensure safety and comfort Educate patients on infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care to promote understanding and compliance Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety Document all treatments meticulously in electronic health records (EHR systems), including medication administration, vital signs, and patient assessments Manage medical supplies and equipment related to infusion therapy, ensuring readiness for all procedures Experience Proven experience (min 2 years) working with IV infusion administration in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or home care environments Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner) for accurate documentation and data management Critical care experience is a must, including ICU, emergency medicine, or labor and delivery settings that involve critical assessment and IV placement and infusion. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus This is a solo position meaning that during your shift you will be mostly by yourself. There will be physician and nurse practitioner support but not immediately. That is why it is important to have at least two years of recent ICU/LDR/ER/infusion experience and feel comfortable placing IVs, running infusions and monitoring patients. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 20.0 per week
