A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
- Total Joint & Spine Unit As Needed
- 630am
- 7pm As Needed Requirements include working 5 Shifts (including 2 weekend shifts) in a 6-week scheduling period 3 West is a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Key responsibilities include:
Administering medications, IV therapy, and blood product infusions. Managing pain utilizing IV, oral, and patient-controlled analgesia (PCA). Providing oxygen therapy, wound care, and surgical incision management. Setting up and monitoring traction and maintaining specialized orthopedic equipment. Collaborating with physicians, surgeons, therapists, and families to create individualized care plans. Supporting patient education to promote recovery, mobility, and long-term health outcomes. Education- ASN required. BSN Preferred. Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting required. Licensure/Certification
- Specialty certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program™ preferred.
- Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy.
