Assisted Living:
Delegating RN/Case Manager/Program Manager Mercy Ridge Retirement Community 2525 Pot Spring Rd., Timonium, MD 21093Job Type :
Full-time, exempt position Under the supervision of the Administrator of Assisted Living, the Delegating Nurse/Case Manager is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, coordination, and monitoring of services to meet the physical, functional, and psychosocial needs to the Assisted Living resident population, provides nursing oversight and case management to assure resident clinical needs are met. The incumbent also assists with providing the department's staff education and provides guidance to direct care staff. Appropriately assigns nursing tasks to other licensed staff. Responds and provides direct care to independent residents as needed.Essential Functions:
Assist with prioritizing, implementing and planning the physical and psychological care of the residents. Uses the nursing process for providing resident care, including assessments of residents and communication of information appropriately to all members of the interdisciplinary team and family members. Perform duties of Delegating Nurse/Case Manager according to the regulations and requirements of the DHMH and Maryland Registered Nurse Practice Act. Assists physicians in planning for the individual resident's health care and acts as a liaison between the resident and the doctor as appropriate. Participates in evaluating the performance and competency of staff; direct, empower and coach the staff to develop the necessary and desired skills for the department. Promote staff and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Current MD RN license. BSN preferred. Maryland Delegating Nurse Certification. Must be able to maintain a level of confidentiality in accordance with federal and state regulations. Knowledge of electronic medical record technology.
