POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include communicating with Doctors and other Registered Nurses about patient needs, administering IVs and medications to aid their patients' health and using medical equipment to monitor patients' vital signs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision. Observe and record patient behavior. Assist in the direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care services provided to the residents. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests. Collect patient health history. Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans. Implementation nursing services, objections, and standards; resolving resident care issues. Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for the other treatment options. Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate. Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for the patient. Direct and supervise nurses, nurse assistants and aides. Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes. Ensuring compliance with all State and Federal guidelines. Ensuring all confidentiality and privacy rights are observed and enforced. Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS). Attend all required all staff meetings. Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents. Requirements

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Licensed as a Registered Nurse and in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Must have excellent computer skills. Experience working in a care center preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to follow all established Federal, State and Local rules, regulations, and guidelines. Must have strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to read and write.
