Job Description

Talis Healthcare is quickly growing and looking to hire a
FULL TIME
Nurse Practitioner for our Infusion Suite in the Maryland region. This position would provide oversight for our suites in Salisbury, Maryland. This position is responsible for providing, coordinating, and assuring comprehensive nursing care using nursing processes and pertinent standards of care. Additionally, the position will require the delivery of therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures for the patient population of an outpatient infusion center. We are looking for someone who can provide compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Maryland state statutes, administrative code and Talis Healthcare bylaws. Candidate will work to perform health assessments/examinations, administer infusion treatment, respond accordingly to infusion reactions, provide patient education regarding disease states/medication and respond to patient inquiries. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing safe, comprehensive and compassionate clinical care
  • Will assume leadership role to establish and monitor standards of practice while improving patient care through sharing knowledge, leading teams and developing programs
  • Will demonstrate understanding of internal and external rules, regulations and legislation as it relates to licensure, certification and billing compliance
  • Will maintain an accurate log of credentialed procedures performed.
  • Demonstrates competency and expertise when performing credentialed procedures/specialty skills
  • Demonstrates safe and effective peripheral line placement
  • Demonstrates safe and effective port access
  • Draws and interprets vital signs accurately
  • Responsible for thorough electronic charting
  • Supervises and administers intravenous infusions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be knowledgeable in billing regulation practices including documentation requirements/ CPT coding regulations
  • Maintains current knowledge and skill level in field through reading appropriate journals, networking and attendance at conferences or seminars
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, without loss of efficiency or composure, and be able to perform under stressful conditions when confronted with multiple requests, demonstrating prioritizing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines
  • Ability to be self-directed, extremely organized and detail oriented requiring minimal supervision
  • Must be credentialed
Education and Experience and Licensure:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program. NP certification Maryland licensure as a nurse practitioner. Current and valid life Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association is required, current and valid nationally recognized APP board certification required. Meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions. Four years of relevant working experience that must include at least two years as a specialized NP or RN in infusion suite/center or home infusion environment Candidate must be credentialed with major payers. Candidate must carry their own malpractice insurance which will be reimbursed during employment.
