Job Description

Mobile Registered Nurse (RN)Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate, adaptable Mobile Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver highquality nursing care to patients across multiple community and clinical locations. The Mobile RN will provide mental health and behavioral health nursing, administer medications, perform clinical assessments and interventions, and document care using EMR systems. This role requires travel to assigned sites, strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nursing assessments and mental health evaluations at patient locations throughout surrounding counties.

Administer medications safely and accurately, monitor responses, and document medication administration.

Provide crisis intervention and deescalation for patients experiencing behavioral health episodes; implement individualized care plans.

Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions in the EMR in a timely and accurate manner.

Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and community agencies to support continuity of care.

Perform clinical procedures and basic nursing treatments following agency protocol and standards of practice.

Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and selfcare strategies.

Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and appropriate clinical documentation while working in varied environments.

Travel to multiple patient sites as assigned, manage schedule efficiently, and ensure timely arrival with required equipment and supplies.

Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives; provide input on workflow and patient safety.

Maintain professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education requirements; complete mandatory trainings and compliance documentation.

QualificationsCurrent/active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license or...Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience with plans to obtain RN credentials.

Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and comfortable using mobile devices and remote charting tools (required).Current BLS/CPR certification (required).Experience administering medications and familiarity with medication protocols and safe storage/transport (required).Comfortable working independently in community and clinic settings and traveling between patient sites; eligible to function as a Travel Nurse or for travel assignments (preferred).Experience in behavioral health, clinicals, or community mental health programs (nice to have).Willingness and ability to travel frequently and adapt to changing schedules and locations.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, cultural competence, and organizational skills.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of required immunizations or health screenings as applicable.
