RN - IMC/ICU
for their Salisbury, MD location.
Responsibilities:
This RN is shared with the ICU unit and is responsible for managing high acuity patients who are often too critical for a medical/surgical floor but may not require an ICU level of care. The IMC team is skilled in caring for populations such as sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post open-heart procedures, continuous cardiac infusions, and those requiring acute continuous non-invasive ventilation (i.e. BiPAP/CPAP). These patients require continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring and the RN will be prepared to intervene quickly to any changes in hemodynamics or respiratory demands. The IMC RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating an individualized plan of care for their patients while serving as an advocate and educator to patients and their families. The Intermediate Care unit (IMC) is a fast-paced, teamwork driven environment providing high acuity care to critically ill patients.
Requirements:
IMC RN Position Requirements Must have at least 2 years ICU experience and IMC/PCU experience is a plus. MD RN or compact license American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) NIH Stroke Scale Certification
