Job Description
St. John the Evangelist School , located in Severna Park, MD, is seeking a Part-Time Daily Substitute Nurse . The Part-Time Registered Nurse will work closely with the school community to maintain a healthy and safe environment for students and staff. The nurse will provide health services, respond to student health needs, administer medications as required, and support the overall well-being of the school community. Essential Functions Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care services to students, faculty, and staff. Administer medications and treatments to students as ordered by students' physicians. Assist in the collection and management of health forms. Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessments, and interventions. Serve as liaison between students, teachers and families in regards to health concerns. Position Qualifications Current Maryland RN license - BSN preferred. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Nursing experience in a high school setting. Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification. Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed.
