What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Requirements:
- Associates Degree of Nursing
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a ed Nurse (Any State)
- A minimum of 3 years of full-time nursing experience in the outpatient clinical setting is required. Two years of experience in the management and education of patient populations with prevalent and chronic diseases to include, but not limited to: diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension is required.
- Possess current certification in disease-management related area such as:
- Chronic Care Professional (CCP) by Health Sciences Institute
- Certified Health Coach (CHC) by National Society of Health Coaches
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) by National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators
- Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) by National Asthma Educator Certification Board
- Highly organized, self-directed worker able to function in a high-volume environment without distractions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office applications and strong technical aptitude.
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- No nights and weekends
- 8 hours a day
