Job Summary:

MaineGeneral's Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care (HACCC) is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will guide patients and their families through every step of the cancer care journey, ensuring they receive timely, coordinated, and personalized care.

Part-time (32 hours/week)

Shift:

Days (M-F), no weekends, no holidays

Your Role:

Serves as a patient advocate, liaison, and advisor/educator to assist patients with navigating the continuum of care.

What You'll Do:

Rounds on/reviews assigned patients regularly and evaluates patient progress with plan of care. Communicates plan of care to patient and family and solicits concerns, questions, and issues for resolution. Provides emotional support, counseling, clinical education and expert guidance to patients and families to promote their ability to understand and meaningfully participate in the healthcare process and personal decision-making. Serves as a liaison between patient and clinical staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, and community/external resources to coordinate/maximize resources and identify/resolve barriers to the plan of care. Assists patients and families with resolving financial, psychosocial, functional, and administrative issues by advising of options and referring to appropriate resources. Intervenes as appropriate to advocated for patient and family. What We're Looking For Current Maine RN license (or ability to obtain). Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred. Compensation Information:

$35.00 - $61.25 The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
