9664470-04345 Job Description Step into a highly impactful role supporting a young student as a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse in a school setting near Gardiner, ME. This contract position offers the chance to make a real difference in the life of a kindergarten student with Dravets syndrome and Autism, while also taking on broader nursing responsibilities for the school community. The assignment runs through June 10, 2027, with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for a full 37.5-40 hours per week. The compensation for this opportunity ranges from $30-40 per hour, and outstanding employee benefits are included.

Qualifications and Experience:

Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine Experience with seizure disorders (preferred) Previous work with children and/or in school settings a plus Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations Strong collaboration and communication skills

Role and Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 care for a kindergarten student, riding to and from school daily Monitor for seizure activity and implement medical/seizure plans as needed Guide staff in seizure response and outdoor activity considerations Complete daily nursing observations and behavioral data collection if able Advise and assist the students 1:1 Ed Tech support staff Temporarily serve as the schools RN, delivering general nursing services to the campus until the students return (expected in late October) Benefits include highly competitive weekly pay, comprehensive insurance (medical, dental, vision, life), a matching 401k, and a flexible spending account.
