Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Association Nurse to join the CLA Team. The Association Nurse will provide medical oversight for the Assisted Living Homes, the Day Programs and the 8 Bed ICF group home. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes through comprehensive, evidence-based nursing practices. This is a Monday through Friday position that includes some after-hours and weekend call coverage. Responsibilities Review Medication Administration Records against physician orders Review completed Medication Administration Records (MARs) for documentation errors, medication changes, PRN medication use, and psychotropic medication use. Monitor use of Schedule II meds Review PRN and over-the-counter medications for expiration dates Complete quarterly nursing assessments for ICF-MR group consumers
Annually :
Administer flu shots for consumer residing in ICF-MR/group facility Coordinate availability of flu vaccine for consumers residing in AL Provide RN consultation to all ALH and ICF group home on PRN status Provide RN consultation to Shared Living Coordinator and SIL providers Provide RN consultation to Day Program services Administer all physician ordered CLA consumer injections and provide weekly care of gastrostomy tubes Review admissions packets, doctor's orders and assist Home Managers in
Employee Health :
Perform Job Placement Assessments for all potential new hires Coordinate referrals with HR to Occupational Health for further assessments and/or vaccines/lab titers. Confirm immunization status Administer the N95 Program including Fit Testing Maintain Employee Health Records Maintain immunization records, titers, PPD and Hep B policies Training duties: Administer the CRMA training program to include teaching the state mandated CRMA 40 hour courses (approx. 5-6 annually) to include both didactic and clinical training Administer state mandated CRMA 8 hour recertification courses. Provide a two hour CRMA recertification review prior to each recertification course Teach 8 hour Shared Living Medication Course as requested Provide diabetes training for all AL, CS and SIL staff annually Provide miscellaneous medical training for staff as needed. (i.e. nebulizer use, stoma care, vagal nerve stimulator training, MRSA, etc.) Miscellaneous RN Duties as assigned. Requirements Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable state or jurisdiction. 3 to 5 years Registered Nursing Experience Previous experience with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities Previous Employee Health Experience Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage complex caseloads efficiently.
