Job Description
Hanson School is seeking a full-time school nurse for the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates who hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, have a minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting and hold a valid Maine RN license and/or Multistate RN license are invited to apply.
The ideal candidate will:
- promote the health and safety of students and staff
- provide health assessments
- develop and implement health plans
- maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to accommodate the individual health needs of students
- coordinate referrals
- possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- follow confidentiality with regards to both student and staff health issues
- collaborate with other team members
- provide education/training in support of student health
- follow state guidelines for the management of communicable diseases.
