Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Positions at Camp North Star. We are located on 200 beautiful acres in Poland Spring, ME. This is a residential job where you live at our camp for 2 - 7 weeks. We are hiring nurses who can work immediately through at least July 25th. Camp North Star, a premier co-ed traditional sleep-away camp in Southern Maine, (2 hours outside Boston) for 7 - 17 year olds. Join our team of motivated medical staff. Our state of the art Health Center is equipped with air conditioning, private rooms, bathrooms, a nurses' lounge and Wi-Fi. Compensation Competitive salary plus food, housing, laundry and use of facilities Reimbursement for ME nursing license transfer Nurses with camp-aged children are eligible for camp tuition scholarship (valued at $14,000 per child) plus a salary Responsibilities Triage and treatment of campers and staff during clinic hours Medication administration at meals and bedtime Care of inpatient campers and staff Packaging and preparing of medication for camper trips Medical record management Conduct inventory of supplies and place orders when necessary Our nurses are encouraged to enjoy all that Camp North Star has to offer, including a private lake, hiking trails, arts and crafts center, athletic fields and facilities, join us on our out of camp trips and more! Many nurses travel to camp by plane. If that's you, we do allow nurses to use a camp vehicle on their time off if they have a driver's license and clean driving record.
