9682853-04106 Job Description Seeking an experienced RN to support a high school student in a 1:1 setting, providing vital care and engagement throughout the school day. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, offering both per diem and part-time scheduling Monday through Friday, 8am3pm, to fit your availability. Youll work closely with a student who has Angelmans syndrome, is nonverbal, uses a wheelchair, and requires comprehensive assistance with all daily activities, especially eating and swallowing. Your expert observation and intervention will help ensure safety and quality of lifeboth at school and while riding the bus to and from the transition center.

Desired Qualifications:

Active RN license with school health and/or pediatric experience Skilled in 1:1 nursing for complex medical needs Familiarity with seizure disorders and myoclonic tremors Experience assisting with mobility, transfers, and ADLs, including changing and toileting Physical ability to safely perform lifts and participate in two-person ADLs Strong collaborative approach for working alongside teachers, therapists, and other staff Ability to communicate effectively with nonverbal students using observation and alternative strategies

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor closely during meals to prevent aspiration and choking Provide full support with hygiene, transfers, and positioning Administer and document emergency medications per health plan Observe for signs of seizure activity or myoclonic tremors, responding swiftly as needed Assist with occupational and physical therapies as directed Ensure environment meets health plan requirements (including temperature compliance) Support participation in field trips and classroom activities by adapting care W2 hourly contract, offering $3943 per hour, reflecting your experience and commitment to specialized care.
