This contract position seeks a skilled Registered Nurse experienced in school nursing to provide essential catheterization services and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of a student during the school day.

Key Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan. Prior experience in a school or pediatric nursing setting preferred. Proficiency in catheterization procedures, with a commitment to maintaining privacy and dignity for the student. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with students, instructional staff, and school administration. Reliable, punctual, and compassionate approach to care.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver catheterization services to a high school student at 12:45pm daily, ensuring proper technique and adherence to medical best practices. Monitor student health for changes or concerns during assigned hours and respond appropriately. Maintain accurate records of medical care provided and communicate any updates to necessary school personnel or parents as directed. Collaborate with an on-site instructional aid, who handles academic support, allowing you to focus on medical needs. Adhere to all school policies regarding confidentiality, health, and safety practices.

Role Details:

Contract position, five days per week.

Scheduled hours:

9:00am - 1:10pm, Monday through Friday, coinciding with the student's school day. Work within a supportive educational environment committed to student success and wellness.
